Love hurts. That seems to be the theme of ABC’s new Bachelor in Paradise promo, which features a hearty helping of kissing and crying, with a side of extra kissing topped off with some super-salty tears.
The trailer, which debuted on Monday, July 6, clocks in at just 30 seconds long, but features no fewer than four makeouts and six breakdowns — not to mention an ambulance ride for Season 19 Bachelor alum Ashley Salter. (Perhaps not surprisingly, an ambulance was also called for a contestant in Season 1 of the spinoff.)
Thrown in between the kissing and crying are several well-timed shots of shirtless and bikini-clad Bachelor Nation alums running along the beach, all set to the classic Footloose ballad “Almost Paradise.”
Season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Previously announced cast members include Salter, Clare Crawley, Jillian Anderson, Jade Roper, Carly Waddell, Ashley Iaconetti, Tenley Molzahn, Juelia Kinney, Dan Cox, Kirk Dewindt, Mikey Tenerelli, JJ Lane, Tanner Tolbert, and Jonathan Holloway, the last three of whom were rejected by Kaitlyn Bristowe on the current season of The Bachelorette.
Last summer’s inaugural season of Bachelor in Paradise resulted in two love connections: Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd, and Michelle Money and Cody Sattler. Money and Sattler split after six months of dating in December, while Grodd and Faddoul secretly married in June as part of the upcoming season.
