Um, what just happened here? The Bachelor‘s Ben Higgins waded into uncharted waters when he told not one but two (!) women that he’s in love with them on the ABC dating series’ Monday, February 29, episode.
The always-anticipated fantasy suite episode started with Caila telling the Denver-based software salesman during their Jamaica date that she is in love with him, and Ben reacted with a poker face. But when both Lauren B. and JoJo used the L-word, he didn’t hesitate to say that he was feeling the same way. He famously said during Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s season of The Bachelorette that he worried about being “unlovable.”
“I never thought in my life I could be in love with two people at one time, but I am,” Higgins told the camera. “After telling two women that I’m in love with them, I’m in a state of shock because my heart’s in two different places.”
“It’s leading me in two directions, and I’m scared because I don’t know what I’m going to do,” he continued.
