Seann William Scott arrives at the Los Angeles Premiere of "American Reunion" on March 19, 2012.

If it weren't for Seann William Scott, the stars of American Reunion may have never teamed up for a fourth film.

"There was a time when I was like, 'I don't know how long this whole career thing is going to go, so I might as well go back and have a ball playing this really fun character in his 30s," Scott, 35, tells BULLETT's spring issue of reprising his role as Steve Stifler.

"In our business, it's kind of like it doesn't matter if you're f-cking good in a movie or if the movie's good. If it makes a ton of money you start getting more opportunities. I'm like, you know what, let's go back to the drawing board here, maybe there's a way to make American Pie awesome again. It all worked out and we had a ball. It's a great film — definitely, in my opinion the best of the series."

The movie, which hits theaters April 6, reunites the majority of the cast from 1999's American Pie, including Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Shannon Elizabeth, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne, Eugene Levy and Jennifer Coolidge.

The original comedy created a lasting bond between the cast. "The friendships that I made with the guys on set in the first film were immediate," Klein, 33, tells BULLETT.

Adds Biggs, 33: "Eddie is one of my best friends. He was in my wedding party. We've traveled to every continent together except Antarctica. The best stories I have with Eddie are X-rated –not that he and I were alone in a room doing kinky things with each other. But we've had some funny, funny nights out."

American Reunion also introduces a handful of new characters, played by Katrina Bowden, Dania Ramirez and Jay Harrington. According to Lyonne, 32, the success of the film will depend on the audience's willingness to have fun.

"The audience has to be held accountable," she tells BULLETT. "If they don't want to watch those movies anymore they shouldn't go f-cking see them."
