Congrats, y’all! The nominees for the 2016 Country Music Association Awards were announced on Wednesday, August 31, and many of our favorite country stars, including Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, made this year’s list.
The 12 CMA Awards categories were announced live from Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry on Good Morning America Wednesday morning by musicians Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley and newcomer Cam.
Lambert, 32, is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, as is Underwood, 33. The American Idol alum is also up for three more awards, including Album of the Year for her smash LP Storyteller.
Topping the list with five nominations each are Eric Church, Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton. Stapleton, 38, is nominated for the highly coveted Entertainer of the Year award, while Morris, 26, is one of only three other female singers to receive five CMA Awards nominations in their debut year.
The CMA Awards — which will take place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and will be hosted by Underwood and Brad Paisley — air on ABC November 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
