Go Wildcats? Duchess Meghan revealed during her Ireland visit whether she will attend an upcoming reunion at her alma mater, Northwestern University.

David Balfany traveled to Dublin from the United States, so the Northwestern alumus took advantage of an opportunity to ask the Duchess of Sussex — who graduated in 2003 with a degree in theater and international studies — if she will be going to the college’s reunion. “She said she probably couldn’t make it,” the bystander told Us Weekly exclusively.

While the Suits alum, 36, may not be in Illinois anytime soon, Prince Harry is already planning a more low-key return to Dublin. “Meghan said Dublin was her favorite city,” onlooker Elizabeth Ring said of her conversation with the couple. “Harry said he’d come back with his jacket over his head, incognito.”

The newlyweds stopped by Trinity College on Wednesday, July 11, where they greeted roughly 700 people amid cloudy weather. The couple shook hands with the well-wishers for 20 minutes, focusing in on children and students in particular.

Emma Bowden, 10, gave Meghan a postcard with a personal message on it. “She said she loved a handwritten postcard and that it was really nice to get one,” she told Us. “She shook my hand — it smells so good!”

Chloe Mullins, meanwhile, gifted the pair with a framed sketch she had drawn of their engagement photo. “Harry said, ‘You’ve given me more hair,’” the 19-year-old revealed. “He saw it and was like, ‘Wow.’ Meghan came over, and he said, ‘Look at this. What do you think of it?’ She said, ‘Wow,’ too and thanked me for it.”

Katie Balfe, a journalism student, recalled her chat with the duchess, during which she said Meghan was a personal “inspiration” as a women’s rights advocate: “She said she was really enjoying her visit and that what I said made it even more special.”

Meanwhile, Stephanie Jordan and Caroline Marsh, both 27, took the day off from work to show off their “When Harry Met Meghan” T-shirts.

Elsewhere, the royal duo expressed their excitement over England’s success in the World Cup and their intention to watch the semifinal at Kensington Palace on Wednesday night. “It’s definitely coming home,” the 33-year-old prince told fans.

Additionally, Harry had an adorable interaction with two redheaded children during the walkabout. The duke leaned down to talk with a little boy through a fence, where he was shyly crouched down, while the young girl grinned as Harry shook her hand.

Harry and Meghan hope to have kids of their own sooner rather than later. “Having children is definitely a priority,” a source close to the duchess told Us in June. “She and Harry want to start a family right away — and she’ll start trying as soon as she can.”
