James Corden loves to joke, but he’s not finding anything funny about Kim Kardashian being robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
The Late Late Show host leaped to the defense of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star after Twitter trolls mocked the harrowing ordeal that took place on Monday, October 3.
“People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she’s a mother,a daughter,a wife,a friend,” he wrote. “Be nice or shut up.”

Kim’s friend, Chrissy Teigen quickly followed suit by posting several messages to Twitter too.
“No one is begging you for sympathy. I know the game plan is to naturally hate celebrities,” she wrote when one fan asked her how they were supposed to feel sorry for someone who owns millions of dollars of jewelry. “Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets.”
She continued: “Please do not think that I think celebrities are special snowflakes. I just miss empathy, in general for everyone.”
Piers Morgan tweeted: “Feel very sorry for @Kim Kardashian. Must have been a terrifying experience. #Paris #robbery.”

As Us Weekly reported, Kim, 35, was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry in the early hours of the morning. Five assailants dressed as cops, tied her up and locked her in the bathroom, while they raided her room.
Her rep confirmed to Us: “She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
Despite her frightening ordeal, many people made light of it.
“Surprised Kim Kardashian didn’t snapchat the whole thing,” one person tweeted while another referenced her racy outfits. “I hear she was forced to put her clothes back on.”
Kim’s husband, Kanye West, learned of the incident while performing at Meadows Festival in Queens, New York.
The 39-year-old was only 45 minutes into his set when an employee walked on stage and interrupted him with the news.”I’m sorry, I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show,” West told the confused crown before cutting the music and rushing off stage as the lights went out.
Their daughter, North, 3, and 9-month-old son Saint, are not believed to have been in the room at the time of the robbery. Kim has since jetted out of France on a private plane.
