The 2016 presidential election hasn’t technically even begun yet and already we’re nervous about what’s going to happen in 2020. Those fears come from the two candidates who have already announced their intention to run — Kanye West and Lindsay Lohan. Throw in Justin Bieber and you’ve got one of the most controversial ballots in U.S. presidential history.
West, 38, announced his intention to run during his Video Vanguard acceptance speech at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards in late August. Without telling his wife, Kim Kardashian, or anyone else ahead of time, the Grammy-winning rapper blurted out: “I’ve decided in 2020 to run for president!”
Pregnant-again Kardashian, 34, has since said she believes that West is serious about his unexpected announcement, and that we can expect an entirely redecorated Oval Office, should he be elected.
But West isn’t the only potential celebrity candidate. Just last week, Lohan, 29, took to Instagram to reveal her interest in running.
"In #2020 I may run for president," the actress captioned a throwback photo with West. "Through ups and downs #YESWECAN lets do this @kanyewest #truespirits thank you for inspiring us to be better people @barackobama #kanyewest2020 #lindsaylohanat35 #lindsaylohan2020 with #34yearsofEXPERIENCE #unitingWORLDnations."
So this begs the question, America. Should West and Lohan run, would you vote for one of them or move out of the country to avoid Yeezy for Preezy or a “so fetch” Madam President? Vote now!
