Saving the best for last? Donald Trump‘s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, took the stage at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, July 21 — and her speech was very well received. In fact, viewers joked that maybe she should run for president herself. Watch the video above to see why Ivanka has everyone buzzing!
The businesswoman, 34, addressed the crowd at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, before introducing her father, 70, who then officially accepted the GOP’s presidential nomination. Staying away from any Hillary Clinton bashing, she spoke glowingly about Donald as a father, businessman, colleague — and the candidate Americans should vote for come November, she argued.
“For more than a year, Donald Trump has been the people’s champion,” she said. “Real change is only going to come from outside of the system … I have seen him fight for his employees. Now, I am seeing him fight for his country.”
Additionally, the striking mom of three — resplendent in a $138 blush-colored dress from her own collection — reached out to women voters about equal pay in the workplace. “Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his company. He will work for equal pay for equal work, and I will fight for it too right alongside of him,” she said. “As president, my father will change the labor laws … child care [will be] affordable and accessible for all.”
The former model and writer was cheered on several times throughout her speech — and on social media. Many appeared to be positive toward her, whether or not they agreed with her message.
“When is Ivanka running for President?” actress Mia Farrow tweeted on Thursday night. Former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman added: “Umm can we skip the circus act and just elect Ivanka for president? #weapon #RNCinCLE.”
Last year, Donald joked about Ivanka becoming his running mate during an appearance on Live! with Kelly and Michael. “I have to say, I’m kidding because the press will then go with it: ‘Trump wants to make Ivanka vice president,'” he said at the time. “They’ll make a big deal … Although she would be good, I will say.”
Tennessee Senator Bob Corker would agree. “His best running mate by the way would be Ivanka,” he told NBC News this month. “I know that wouldn’t pass muster probably but I don’t know if I’ve met a more composed, brilliant, beautiful-in-every-way person.”

They’d better calm down Ivanka’s wind machine before Donald speaks. Could cause quite a hair situation.
