It's going to be a good year for Tig Notaro! The Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian and writer got engaged to her girlfriend Stephanie Allynne on Jan. 1.
"i have been officially engaged for 53 minutes and so far things are going pretty great," Notaro, 43, announced on New Year's Day in a Facebook post.
A source tells Us Weekly that the couple is "thrilled."
The couple met on the set of 2013's In a World. Tig's documentary at Sundance features Allynne throughout, she's also hosting the closing awards at Sundance.
In addition to her work in comedy, Notaro is known for speaking out about her breast cancer diagnosis. She announced the news in a 2012 stand-up show. She underwent a double mastectomy and in November 2014 she performed topless at the New York Comedy Festival.
