Whatever works! Teresa and Joe Giudice are trying to keep the spark alive as much as possible while he remains behind bars. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed that her longtime love has been sending her X-rated emails from prison.
“I’m not going to say what the emails say,” Teresa, 44, teased Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, June 29. “He’s doing good. You know, being positive, and we’re just both taking one day at a time.”
Joe, 44, began serving his 41-month sentence for fraud at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey on March 23. (As previously reported, he’s already gotten five months knocked off his sentence.) “He’s eating right … because you know, it’s good,” Teresa added. “He said it’s good. He’s getting his mind focused and he’s not drinking. I guess he was drinking a lot.”
Teresa was released after 11 months, just in time for Christmas, from Connecticut’s Danbury Federal Correctional Institution for her own fraud charges. The couple were allowed to serve their sentences at different times so that one parent could be at home to take care of their four daughters — Gia, 15, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6.
“We’re married 16 years and I just can’t wait for him to get home,” Teresa told ET. “I think it’s just going to spice up our marriage even more. Yeah, when I came home, it’s like falling in love all over again.”
The Turning the Tables author made sure to stay connected with Joe while she was away too. Back in February, she told Us Weekly that the two would make out whenever he came to visit her.
“[Joe] was only allowed to come every other weekend, and every time he came to see me, our daughters were always there. The last 15 minutes, then our daughters would leave and then we would have only 15 minutes alone time,” she told Us. “We definitely made out and kissed and held hands, because you are allowed to kiss in the beginning and at the end. Not as long as you want, depending who’s on, depending which officers are on.”
