Grumpy Cat, is that you? Taylor Swift took to Twitter on Thursday, April 14, to share a photo of her cat Meredith looking hilariously unimpressed at a party.
“Come to the party, they said,” the pop superstar, 26, captioned the adorably awkward pic of her seemingly upset feline sitting beside pals Britany Maack and Benjamin LaManna. “It will be fun, they said.”

In the shot, the “Shake It Off” songstress’ newly married friends Maack and LaManna seem blissfully unaware of the pet’s supposed sour attitude as they throw back two glasses of wine. To emphasize Meredith’s mean-looking mug, Swift posted two zoomed-in snaps of the Scottish Fold’s face.
Although Meredith (who is named after Swift squad member Ellen Pompeo’s Grey’s Anatomy character, Meredith Grey) appeared to be having the worst time ever during the get-together, the Grammy winner surely enjoyed hanging out with her childhood besties. Swift’s other cat (and Meredith’s partner in crime), Olivia, was MIA for the post.
Swift, who looks unrecognizable on the cover of the May issue of Vogue, opened up about visiting her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, to serve as the maid of honor in Maack and LaManna’s February wedding. Chatting with Vogue writer Jason Gay at the ceremony’s reception, the singer spoke about the joy of reconnecting with her roots.
“It’s such a surreal, emotional thing,” she told the fashion magazine. “When you’re a little kid, you’re riding the same roads to school every single day, hundreds of times. When you come back, you snap into that strange nostalgia.”
