Sparks fly down South! Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston appeared to be even more enchanted with each other while dining out at Adele restaurant in Nashville on Thursday, June 23. Swift moved from Pennsylvania to Nashville as a teen and now has her own home there.
The new couple, coordinating in black, were joined by friends, which included country singer Holly Williams. Swift, 26, wore a black wrap dress and rocked her trademark red lipstick, while Hiddleston, 35, wore a black top and pants.
The lovebirds may have had company, but that didn’t keep them from showing their affection. An onlooker tells Us Weekly that the British hunk appeared to be a perfect gentleman from start to finish.
“Tom held the inside door open for Taylor and he put his arm around her waist as they walked up to the hostess station. They looked like they were having an amazing time,” the eyewitness says. “Taylor was laughing at Tom’s jokes” and the couple had a kale salad and meatballs together.
According to the onlooker, Hiddleston got up to sit closer to Swift halfway through the two-hour meal. In photos, they were spotted smiling and holding hands.
“They looked adorable. No one bothered them,” the onlooker adds. “Tom also had his arm around Taylor as they exited. He seemed very protective of her.”
Nashville isn’t the only place the two have traveled since going public. On June 15, the British newspaper The Sun published photos of the two kissing near Swift’s Rhode Island abode. Two days later, they were spotted hopping on a private plane to L.A. (Us Weekly confirmed on June 1 that the “Style” singer split from Calvin Harris.)
“Tom checks off a lot of boxes. He’s hot, smart, talented, British, blond, everything she’s into. What’s not to like?” a pal close to Swift recently told Us. “She’s going with it, and why shouldn’t she? They have been bonding over the industry, their childhoods, where they are from. It’s the getting-to-know-you phase. Taylor is just happy to have the time to meet someone new and move on from Calvin.”
