You gotta laugh! Steve Harvey proved he's got a great sense of humor when he jumped on Twitter right after Miss District of Columbia was crowned the Miss USA 2016 pageant winner — to poke fun at his own presenting disaster during Miss Universe six months ago.
"Soooooooo — I was a few months early with my announcement and forgot 'District of,'" the 59-year-old comedian wrote, referring to his unforgettable faux pas, when he incorrectly named Miss Colombia (Ariadna Gutierrez) the new Miss Universe instead of the actual winner, Miss Philippines (Pia Wurtzbach).
Soooooooo – I was a few months early with my announcement and forgot "District of". ???

Then, eager to make sure he wasn’t overshadowing Miss USA 2016's big night with his quips, Harvey proceeded to pay tribute to the newly crowned pageant queen, Deshauna Barber.
Congratulations!!!! https://t.co/LsQZ4OPxl5

As Us Weekly reported previously, Harvey's embarrassing error played a major role in the Sunday, June 5, pageant, with the humbled comic even taking part in an amusing skit at the start of the show where he tells Terrence J (who presented the pageant along with Julianne Hough) that, under no circumstances is he to announce "Miss Colombia" a winner.
"I don't care if they hand you a card. They handed me a card and I said it. When they hand you the card, don't say, 'Miss Colombia!'" he deadpans.
