On to the next! Sharon Osbourne isn't letting the fresh split between her daughter Kelly and fiance Matthew Mosshart get her down. The TV personality addressed the breakup during her daytime talk show The Talk on Thursday, Jan. 9.
"I can't talk for my daughter, [but] Matthew is a lovely guy," Osbourne, 61, told the audience. "They had two great years together of fun and love and to me, that's why engagements are so important."
"Engagements are a test run, aren't they? And so it didn't work for whatever reason but they are still good friends and will continue to be," she continued. "It's just not right for them right now. So — let the auditions begin!"
Us Weekly broke news on Wednesday that the E! Fashion Police co-host, 29, and her vegan chef beau had ended their engagement. "The split is amicable and the pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another. Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings," her rep told Us at the time. "No further comments will be provided by all parties and we request privacy, decorum and space from the press but don't expect it."
Osbourne and Mosshart, 29, first met in the summer of 2011. They announced their engagement in July 2013.
