She has her own squad! Selena Gomez skipped BFF Taylor Swift’s annual star-studded 4th of July bash this year. Instead, the “Kill Em With Kindness” singer posted an Instagram video celebrating the holiday on Monday.
“hostess vibes. Happy 4th everyone!” Gomez, 23, captioned the clip. In the video, the former Disney star shows off her backside while giving fans a view of her party — and its swanky location. She mingles with guests, briefly walks past the dance floor and jumps into the pool.
The “Hands to Myself” singer may have a good reason for missing Swift’s shindig. Gomez is currently on the road for her Revival tour. Up next, she’s set to perform at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday.
Swift, 26, has been busy jet-setting across the globe, too. She and new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston have traveled to Nashville, L.A., London and Rome in the last couple of weeks. Over the weekend, they were joined by other stars at her Rhode Island abode.

Who made the guest list? Swift and the British actor, 35, feasted, watched fireworks and went swimming with celebs such as Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, and Orange Is the New Black costars Ruby Rose and Uzo Aduba. (Lively notably showed off her growing baby bump in a bikini and was spotted kissing Reynolds in the water.)
Gomez is used to marking “no” on Swift’s invite. The star also wasn’t in attendance during Swift’s 2014 and 2015 festivities.
