Amy Poehler plays an uptight bureaucrat on Parks & Recreation — and is also featured on a fake site for Pawnee, Indiana.
CBS' How I Met Your Mother has more than six mock Web sites, including a video resume for star Neil Patrick Harris' womanizing character, Barney Stinson.

The show's creator, Carter Bays, explains, "The Internet is so user-accessible that whenever you hear 'www' on a show, you just know that there's probably something behind it. There's an extra layer of depth to this show knowing that you can go to a different medium and continue the story."
