The Big Chill! Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt took to the stage at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 10, to present their film, The Big Short. But apart from being crazy sexy, the pair also seemed to have a funny tension.
“Hi, Ryan,” Pitt, 52, began amicably.
“Yeah, whatever,” Gosling, 35, replied.
After an awkward pause, the father of six, clean-shaven and smoldering, asked, “Are you upset with me?”
His costar replied, “Nah, man, we’re good, whatever. Honestly, I was told I was presenting alone. It’s fine. Obviously I’ve been recast in some kind of Joe Biden, Andy Richter, Robin type role. It’s fine, I’m here for the movie.”
Pitt tried to recover, saying, “It’s fine, I’m here to support you.”
“Oh, that’s nice,” Gosling shot back, looking dapper in his white tux. “Take the high road, I look petty. Classic Brad, it’s just classic, classic Brad.”
When Gosling tried to move to the list of “winners,” Pitt told him there was none.
“There’s not even a winner?” he asked, jokingly shocked. “This is a disaster. Is this like a Montessori type of thing? Everyone gets a trophy? No one’s feelings get hurt? Come on!”
