Perfect day for a princess! All eyes were on Kate Middleton and Prince William’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, as the newborn royal was christened at the 16th century Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate in Paddington, London, on Sunday, July 5.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 33, arrived at 4:30 p.m. local time. Their son, Prince George, nearly 2, was also on hand for his sister’s big day. Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who also baptized Prince George in 2013, led the service.
Other loved ones in attendance included Carole and Michael Middleton, Pippa Middleton, and James Middleton. Prince Harry is currently in Africa on a three-month trip.
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, was born at 8:34 a.m. in the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, on May 2. She weighed in at 8 lbs., and 3 oz.
The christening marks the third time the royal couple have given the public a peek at their growing baby girl. Last month, they released photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte that Duchess Kate took herself.
