She wears it well! Miranda Kerr showed off her new engagement ring after stepping out for the first time since her new fiancé, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, proposed earlier in the week.
The Victoria’s Secret model flashed the diamond rock while heading out to dinner at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica on Saturday, July 23. She looked incredible in a white lace playsuit, which showcased her toned legs, and a beige cardigan.
As Us Weekly previously reported, Kerr, 33, and Spiegel, 26, got engaged on Wednesday, July 20. The supermodel shared the exciting news via Snapchat with a custom “Marry Me” filter, complete with Bitmojis of the couple. She later shared the adorable shot on her Instagram account, writing, “I said yes!!!”
The CEO presented Kerr with an understated 2.5-carat ring featuring a round center stone flanked on both sides by a tapered diamond baguette.
“Miranda’s ring is the quintessence of classic style and understatement,” jewelry expert Michael O’Connor told Us Weekly on Wednesday. “It’s a classic round diamond of about 2.5 carats. The value of the ring would be approximately $55,000. Despite the reported billions Spiegel’s worth, the couple decided on a timeless style that proves they ‘don’t need to try.’ After so many over-the-top rings, this understated, more meaningful ring may be the newest — and best! — we’ve seen in a while.”
A week prior to the proposal, Us Weekly exclusively revealed that Spiegel was ready to pop the question to his future bride. “They are both completely smitten, and Evan’s starting to look at rings,” a source told Us at the time, adding that the happy duo will have “an extravagant wedding, in true Evan style.”
Kerr was previously married to Orlando Bloom. The couple, who split in 2013, share a 5-year-old son, Flynn. This will be Spiegel’s first marriage.
