He’ll blind Kelly Ripa with that bling! Michael Strahan is set to receive the Pro Football Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence on Monday, Nov. 3, and Us Weekly has the exclusive first look of the gold band!
Strahan’s ring consists of several encrusted diamonds and has “Hall of Fame” engraved on one side. The Kay Jewelers piece also features a blue stone.
The Live! With Kelly and Michael co-host and former Giants defensive end was initially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August. At the time, he was gifted with a gold jacket and a bronze bust of his face.
During his speech, Strahan, 42, thanked several teammates and coaches that he was lucky enough to work with throughout his career. But most importantly, he acknowledged his family.
“I want to say the most important motivation for me throughout my career and even now in my life has never been tackles, accolades never been notoriety, never been money or Super Bowls or anything like that,” Strahan said during his ceremony. “My daughter, Tanita, my son Michael, Jr., and my twins, Isabella and Sophia, my babies, my beautiful babies.”
“I hope, and this has always been my hope for my kids because I love them more than anything, is that I showed you and that you learned the improbability means nothing, because anything is absolutely possible,” he said. “The most important title I’m most proud of is Michael Strahan, your father, plain and simple.”
