Finally! Maria Menounos is engaged to her longtime boyfriend and business partner, Keven Undergaro. Undergaro surprised the E! News host, 37, during her interview with Howard Stern on Wednesday, March 9, and popped the question.
“Although I said that this isn’t a proposal I want to ask you something, Maria,” Undergaro said while getting down on one knee. “Will you make me the happiest man on Earth?”
Menounos was visibly shocked. “Are you freaking kidding me right now?” she exclaimed.
“This show’s meant so much to both of us,” her now-fiance continued. “I said, one day you will be on that show and you will be a star, and here you are.”

A source tells Us Weekly that Undergaro designed the TV personality’s new bling with jewelry designer Jean Dousset.
The couple, who cofounded AfterBuzz TV, have been together for 18 years. As documented on Oxygen’s Chasing Maria Menounos, the former Extra cohost’s Greek Orthodox family temporarily disowned her when she first started dating Undergaro in 1998. After her father threw her out, the couple lived in a basement in Boston before moving to L.A. to start her career.
“It wasn’t an easy situation. He wasn’t Greek. My dad was very upset, pretty much disowned me, took my education away,” Menounos explained to AOL in 2014. “We spent so many nights clinging to each other crying and it was terrible.”
Undergaro, however, was confident in their plan. “I just knew from day one when I met Maria that she was going to be a star,” the TV producer recalled to AOL. “I said, if we just stick to the plan and stay focused on what we need to, you will become that star, your parents will come to understand this whole situation, they’ll be back in our lives.”
Menounos confirmed to AOL that after moving to L.A., they’ve since reconciled with her family. “My dad apologized to Keven,” she explained. “I don’t know a lot of men that can actually say they’re sorry.”
