Lammy around town! Lamar Odom was in good spirits as he chatted and snapped photos with fans outside an NYC strip club on Thursday, July 14, just three days after his alleged airplane mishap made headlines.
The former NBA player, 36, left his house around 10 p.m. on Thursday with four people who looked to be family members, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly. The group enjoyed a late dinner at Made in Mexico before heading to Playroom.
“Lamar had a ton of fans walking up to him and he was very friendly to everyone,” the onlooker says. “Lamar posed for pictures with everyone and was even chatting and laughing with the fans outside of the club.”
The eyewitness tells Us Odom and his pals stayed at the strip club until around 4 a.m. and hung out with his friends and some women he met in the parking garage for about an hour before calling an Uber.
“Lamar didn’t look drunk, but [he] was looking very tired,” the source says.
Two nights earlier, on Tuesday, July 12, Odom also had a laid-back, relaxing time when he visited Cityscapes Gentlemen’s Club. There, the owner, whose Instagram handle is Darxnyght_, said the athlete “was very happy.”
“He was in very high spirits,” the owner told Us, adding that Odom didn’t drink alcohol at the venue, choosing to order water and cranberry juice instead.
Odom’s strip club visits come after he was allegedly kicked off a Delta flight from Los Angeles to NYC for getting drunk at the airport and vomiting after he boarded the plane.
An insider tells Us that Odom bought a ticket to NYC Monday to surprise his son for his birthday on Tuesday, but because the plane didn’t leave until later in the evening, Odom “drove to a bar in Santa Monica and started drinking there.”
As previously reported, the former Lakers star “got really angry and started getting drunk” at the bar before making his way to LAX. Shortly before his plane was scheduled to take off, he “flipped out and got depressed.”
“It’s really sad,” the source added “He was doing so well in his [rehab] program.”
In late May, Odom’s estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian, filed for divorce for a second time, citing irreconcilable differences.
