Better after breakup? Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson ended their nearly four-year relationship just a few weeks ago, but the mourning period — for 23-year-old Stewart, at least — seems to already be winding down. On Monday, May 27, the Twilight actress stepped out in L.A.'s trendy Los Feliz neighborhood looking none too broken up about her breakup.
Sporting her usual uniform of skinny jeans, sneakers, a hoodie, and a backwards baseball cap, Stewart grinned as she hit the town for Memorial Day. She appeared to be in a great mood despite her split from longtime love Pattinson, 27, and both she and her friend were spotted laughing while they walked. (See more photos at X17.)
The On the Road actress has been spending a lot of time with pals since calling it quits with her former Twilight costar earlier this month. Among those pals? Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. As Us Weekly exclusively reported after Stewart's breakup, the two stars spent some quality time together at Swift's home on Monday, May 20.
"[Kristen] went over with some friends," a source told Us. "They have some friends in common and hung out."
The visit came just a few days after news broke that Stewart and Pattinson had split. Though it seemed for a while that the couple's relationship was back on track following her July 2012 cheating scandal with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, sources told Us Weekly that Pattinson couldn't get over his girlfriend's summer fling.
"He really put her through the ringer," one insider told Us. "Ultimately, it was like, 'Either we move past this or we don't.' It wasn't good for either of them."
"They're both good people," the source added. "It was just not the right thing for either of them right now."
