Somber situation. A distraught-looking Kris Jenner was spotted outside Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where Lamar Odom is being treated after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Oct. 13.
Jenner, along with Khloe Kardashian, who is “inconsolable,” one source told Us Weekly, and Kim Kardashian rushed to Odom’s side on the same day.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, the former NBA star, 35, who has a troubled past with substance abuse, was found unconscious on Tuesday afternoon by two women he was partying with, Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe, at the Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nev.
Love Ranch South owner Dennis Hof told Us that after Odom was found, staff called 911. Operators instructed employees to roll Odom to his side, at which point “a bunch of ugly stuff came out of him,” Hof told Us. Odom was then taken to a nearby hospital before being transported to Sunrise Hospital in Vegas for further treatment.
“He said he was just trying to get away from people so he could have some time to himself without the pressures of being who he is,” Hof recalled to Us, adding that there were no signs of drugs but that the athlete “was taking herbal Viagra.”
Odom’s rep released an exclusive statement to Us early Wednesday morning. “Family and friends are extremely concerned for Lamar,” Odom’s longtime publicist and friend, Eve Sarkisyan, told Us. “Please don’t listen to the false information being circulated unofficially. Please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.”
Khloe and Odom were married in September 2009 after just a month of dating. Kardashian filed for divorce in December of 2013. They signed papers this past July.
During a recent Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode, the 31-year-old reality star, who is currently dating James Harden, admitted she still speaks with Odom and will always care for him.
