Looking for clues. Kim Kardashian robbery investigators are testing DNA traces left in the reality TV queen’s Paris apartment, the Associated Foreign Press reports.
According to the AFP, French forensic experts are examining DNA found in Kardashian and husband Kanye West’s private residence in the Hôtel de Pourtalès (a.k.a. the No Address Hotel), where five men dressed as police officers robbed the Selfish author, 35, at gunpoint on October 3.
As previously reported, the assailants tied up the E! personality and locked her in the bathroom during their heist. The armed thieves left the scene with two of Kardashian’s iPhones and millions of dollars worth of jewelry — including a $4.5 million diamond ring.
A source told the AFP that Kardashian’s $33,000 diamond necklace (found on the street by a passerby shortly after the incident) has provided no help in identifying the attackers because there weren’t any usable DNA samples left on the item.
According to the wire service, Kardashian’s burglary is the biggest jewel robbery committed against an individual in France in more than two decades.
Following the terrifying episode, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s rep told Us Weekly that she was “badly shaken, but physically unharmed.”
During a Tuesday, October 11, appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kim ’s younger sister Khloé Kardashian opened up about the mobile app mogul’s current emotional state.
“She’s not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together,” the former Kocktails With Khloé host said. “We do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support. It will take time. It was horrible what happened to her.”
