Drama. On the Wednesday, March 2, episode of Kocktails with Khloé, Khloé Kardashian said that her mom Kris Jenner’s former infidelity had a major impact on her late father, Robert Kardashian.
Kardashian, 31, brought up Jenner’s cheating past when telling celeb guest Lisa Rinna about her split from NBA pro James Harden, who “wasn’t committed” during their short-lived romance. The Strong Looks Better Naked author then went on to explain how her mother’s past indiscretions have motivated her to never stray in a relationship.
“I saw how it destroyed my dad,” Kardashian said. “I saw what it did to my dad, so I don’t want to do that. I also saw the regret from my mom.”
Jenner, 60, and Robert (who died of esophageal cancer in 2003) married in 1978 and divorced in 1991 when Kardashian was seven years old. The momager copped to having an affair with Todd Waterman in 1989 in her 2011 memoir, Kris Jenner … And All Things Kardashian.
Despite her unfaithfulness, Jenner still misses Robert (father of four of her six children) to this day — and wishes he had been around to talk to during her ex Caitlyn Jenner’s public transition.
“I had a wonderful, beautiful life with Robert. He was just an amazing man,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in February. “I always wish I could call Robert right now,” added Kris, who noted that divorcing her lawyer husband was her only regret in life. “That’s an everyday thing.”
Robert Kardashian’s name has been making headlines recently owing to David Schwimmer’s portrayal of the late lawyer in FX’s miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
