Kendall Jenner is proud of her dad. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star briefly opened up about Bruce Jenner’s transition from male to female on the 2015 Billboard Music Awards red carpet on Sunday, May 17.
“Honestly, I’ve never seen him happier and that alone makes me so happy,” the 19-year-old told E! co-host Giuliana Rancic. “To see him happy and see him staying so strong and see him thinking about his kids…”
When asked if she’s happy that he’s finally “living his truth,” she added: “Most definitely.”
Jenner’s comments come just hours before the KUWTK special, About Bruce, premieres. In a previous sneak peek, Jenner is seen breaking down about the former Olympian. “He’s the most amazing person I know,” she said in the clip. “I couldn’t ask for a better dad.”
She continued: “He taught me how to ride a bike and be the tomboy that I am. Every single day we went to school 45 minutes away from home, he would drive us to school, he’d be the first one in line to pick us up.”
The model has always held a special place in her heart for Bruce. Following his powerful Diane Sawyer 20/20 interview last month, she posted a sweet homework assignment she did in fifth grade.
“If I could be anybody in the world, I would be my dad,” it read. She captioned via Instagram: “Nothing has changed.”
