#Freethenipple! Kendall Jenner flashed her nipple piercing in a sheer top during a Tuesday, June 21, stroll with girlfriends Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin in New York City.
For the models’ outing, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians beauty, 20, wore a see-through black bodysuit and light-wash denim pants teamed with Elizabeth and James aviators, Kenneth Cole boots, a Givenchy bag and, of course, her eye-catching body jewelry. In contrast, Hadid, 21, donned an almost identical outfit to Jenner’s — the main differences being her opaque top and flared jeans — while Baldwin, 19, rocked a black mini and leather platform ankle boots.
Last September, the reality star turned catwalk queen opened up about why she got her edgy nipple accessory. “Yes, it’s true. I was going through a period in my life, having a rough time, being a rebel,” she told Page Six. “And was like, ‘Let’s just do it.'”
“[I was] so terrified, I’m laying on the bed like, ‘Why am I doing this?'” she added. “Honestly, it hurt but wasn’t as bad as everyone made it seem, and maybe because everyone hyped it up and I thought it would be really, really bad. Then it wasn’t as bad as I expected.”
While the eldest Jenner sister understands the public’s intrigue with her piercing, she doesn’t think twice about her polarizing hardware.
“Having my nipple pierced isn’t really something I make a big deal of, but I think people are obsessed with the topic because it seems so unexpected of me,” she wrote on her official website, kendallj.com, in 2015. “Before I even decided to go for it, I just liked showing my nipples through some of my outfits; there’s something understated yet sexy about it.”
