It’s impossible not to cry at weddings — especially 33 of them! Keith Urban was caught on camera getting emotional after 33 couples married at the 56th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26 — but he certainly wasn’t the only one.
There apparently wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert and Madonna performed a mash-up of “Same Love” and “Open Your Heart” while Queen Latifah officiated the ceremonies. After all the couples said “I do,” the camera panned to Urban clapping in the audience with tears streaming down his face. Nicole Kidman‘s husband looked visibly emotional following the inspiring performance, as did those seated beside him.
“Dark Horse” performer Katy Perry was also shown on TV cheering after the weddings. The once-divorced, 29-year-old girlfriend of John Mayer flashed a huge smile after catching the bouquet from one of the brides.
“Congrats to all the #samelove couples tonight,” Perry wrote on Instagram with a photo of herself and flowers. “You had me in tears of joy for y’all! Also . . . Look who caught the bouquet!!!”
