Ra-Ra-Griffin! Kelly Osbourne isn't the only who's thrilled that Kathy Griffin is walking away from Fashion Police. Griffin's fellow celebrities including Chelsea Handler, Rosie O'Donnell, Wendy Williams, and Mindy Kaling, showed support for the comedienne after her departure announcement was made Thursday, Mar. 12.
Osbourne, 30, the captain of Griffin's star-studded cheer squad, tweeted Thursday that she "could not be more proud" of her former colleague.
Former View co-host O'Donnell praised both Griffin and Osbourne for leaving E!'s Fashion Police.

O'Donnell announced she was leaving The View last month, citing medical reasons for her departure after a six-month return to the talk show. Her fellow talk show hosts Goldberg and Williams as well as former E! host Handler also lauded Griffin in a tweet on Friday, Mar. 13.
Bravo @kathygriffin ! You have to try it to know if you like it. You did and it wasn't for you. And now, now a new change is going to come.

Other celebrities also used social media to show respect and admiration for the comic in her bold decision to walk away after just two months on the show.

HBO Girls star Lena Dunham took to Instagram to praise Griffin for her decision. "Congrats to my beautiful friend Kathy Griffin for bravely saying enough is enough to intolerance of all kinds on television," Dunham wrote, alongside an old photo. "She's modeling a better way for the youths (and working those ears.)"
Thinking about my girls @KellyOsbourne & @kathygriffin. It takes smarts and courage to commentate on society and culture & they did us proud

The one celeb who seemed irate over Griffin's decision was Piers Morgan.
Kathy Griffin's quit Fashion Police because she doesn't like their mean humour? Ironically, one of the few times she's ever made me laugh.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 13, 2015
This is the same Kathy Griffin whose whole career has been predicated on bitching about people and being mean, right? #HypocritePolice

Griffin, 54, tweeted on Thursday night to explain her surprising decision, which followed Osbourne's dramatic exit last month. "When I chose to step into the shoes of my beloved Joan Rivers…I was thrilled to continue her legacy as a woman being brash and eccentric on television," she wrote. "I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show and now it's time to move on."
BuzzFeed reported Friday, Mar. 13, that Griffin had sent out an email to a list of undisclosed recipients, requesting their support on social media. (It remains unknown whether the celebrities above received this email.)
"I’m reaching out to you because I think you will understand why I have made this decision and I am asking for your support via Twitter, etc.," Griffin wrote to pals. "IF you are comfortable. I admire you & your work and hope that you can stand by me."
E! told Us Weekly in a statement that despite Griffin's departure, the show will go on as planned. "Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Monday, March 30 at 9 p.m. with our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski and Executive Producer Melissa Rivers," the statement read.
