On The View Wednesday, Kate Gosselin joked about rumors that she is being a diva on the Los Angeles set of Dancing With the Stars.
This week, the New York Post's Page Six reported that Kate, 34, "doesn't want anything to do with other contestants" and has "set herself apart" because she "wants to be queen bee."
But the mother of eight said that's impossible, considering that she's been rehearsing on a makeshift floor in the basement of Wernersville, Pa., home with partner Tony Dovolani.
"I'm 3,000 miles away!" she said. "I was out [in L.A.] once for five days and met everyone and had a great time."
She said the diva rumors are nothing new. "It's no different than what I've been facing for the past year," she said, adding that she's "too busy focusing on my kids" to care about rumors.
She said doing the show and being a mother is "a delicate balance." She said she is usually dancing "before they're up in the morning or at school."
She added that her ex-husband Jon, 32, is with the kids whenever she's away.
Said Kate, "I'm making the best of it."
