Jonah Hill had Hollywood buzzing about his incredible weight loss in 2011, but when he was a student at Crossroads School in Santa Monica, Calif., people were talking about the actor's appearance for a much different reason.
"I had bleached hair," Hill, now 28, tells Parade. "I wanted to be Eminem really badly!"
The actor has been thinking about his teenage years a lot lately, as he plays an undercover cop who infiltrates a high school in 21 Jump Street (opposite Channing Tatum). Given the chance, Hill would jump at the opportunity to be a student again.
"I would have done theater. I probably would have met more like-minded people, although all my friends are from high school, but I was scared they would make fun of me if I did theater," Hill explains. "And I probably would have met a really nice girl because she would like that I was sensitive."
Hill also believes he'd be best friends with Tatum, 31, in high school.
"We are from very different places, but we have very similar morals on friendship. I've rarely gotten along with someone as well as this guy. We hang out all the time," he tells Parade. "Last night, I was like, 'I miss Chan. I haven't seen him in a few hours.' He was in the same hotel, and I wanted to see what he was up to!"
21 Jump Street hits theaters March 16.
