Jessica Simpson has no plans to pen a lifestyle book — for now, at least, an insider reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. A literary agent recently approached the fashion mogul to write about her business success, but the singer ultimately declined.

Simpson, 34, mulled over the idea, but eventually decided it wasn’t the time to do so. The reason? She’s focusing on new music!
A pal adds: “She’s recording a new album instead.”
Maxwell and Ace’s mom dropped her sixth studio album, the country-inflected, poorly received Do You Know, in September 2008. Two years earlier — right after her divorce from Nick Lachey — she released pop record A Public Affair, which sold over one million copies.
