In Jaime Primak Sullivan‘s Mountain Brook, Ala., home, all animals are welcome! “I’m a baby animal lover, so kittens, puppies, chicks, piglets — anything little [I love],” the star of Bravo’s Jersey Belle, told Us Weekly during a visit to our New York City headquarters, where she was joined for a video shoot by Jinx, a domestic shorthair kitten recently adopted from NYC’s Animal Haven Shelter.
A strong advocate for animal adoption, New Jersey native Sullivan — the married mom of son Max and daughters Charlie and Olivia — welcomed Cocker Spaniel Jordan (named after Michael Jordan) into her home, rescuing her from the pound.
“My children loved to walk her, brush her hair, and help put food in her bowl,” Sullivan told Us of her family pet, whom they sadly had to put down in April.
“Adopting pets will save you money,” Sullivan tells Us. “Breeders charge a fortune for pure breeds, and there are plenty of pure breeds waiting for forever homes in shelters all over the country. Most pets that are adopted are already spayed or neutered and vaccinated, which makes the shelter’s fee a real bargain. When you adopt a pet, you’ve saved his life,” adds the Bravo star. “There really is no better feeling!”
