Although exes Jennifer Lawrence, 22, and Nicholas Hoult, 23, were spotted on a "flirtatious" dinner date on Monday, April 29, in L.A., the pair don't seem to be reigniting their love in the Big Apple … for now. At the Met Gala in NYC on Monday, May 6, the former lovers arrived separately and walked the red carpet solo.
Talking to Us Weekly at the event, Hoult, in a Tom Ford suit, denied that he was back together with his X-Men: First Class costar.
"We're friends," he told Us. Of their recent dinner date at The Little Door restaurant, the British actor confirmed that they dined together but reiterated that they're just "friends."
Lawrence, for her part, didn't seem fazed that her ex was walking the same carpet as her — she was seen giggling with Sarah Jessica Parker and Marion Cotillard as she made her way into the event.
The Oscar-winning actress split with Hoult in January after dating for two years.
She and Hoult are currently filming the second X-Men movie together, X-Men: Days of Past. Lawrence, who also stars in the Hunger Games franchise, wrapped Catching Fire, the series second installment, in December 2012.
