Leave Olaf out of it! Donald Trump made an unexpected move on Wednesday, July 6: bringing the movie Frozen into his controversial Star of David Twitter row.
The Republican nominee used Elsa and Olaf to try and make a point while defending his weekend tweet: an image of a six-pointed star over a pile of money that appeared next to a photo of Hillary Clinton along with the words “most corrupt candidate ever.”
That since-deleted tweet instantly received a barrage of backlash, with commenters accusing Trump of anti-Semitism because the star closely resembles the Jewish Star of David symbol.

Maintaining the image was “just a star” during an Ohio speech on Wednesday, the property mogul took his defense a step further by tweeting out an image of a Frozen activity book that also features a six-pointed star and asking why nobody had a problem with that one.

Twitter erupted with responses instantly.

“FYI: that frozen star thing that trump tweeted out he ALSO got from a white supremacist Twitter feed,” added another.
And Clinton was among the responders. “Do you want to build a strawman?” the Democrat responded, retweeting Trump’s message.
