Donald Trump, Like Sarah Palin, Blames Obama for Her Son’s Arrest: It ‘Starts at the Top’

Donald Trump told CNN’s Don Lemon on Wednesday, January 20, that he agreed with Sarah Palin that President Barack Obama was to blame for Track Palin‘s recent arrest on charges of fourth-degree assault and firearm possession while intoxicated.

Lemon asked the GOP presidential hopeful if it was “fair to link the president with her son’s issues.”

“Oh, I think so,” Trump, 69, replied. “Look, everything starts at the top. He’s the president. And I think you can certainly do that. And all you have to do is look at the Veterans Administration, and look at the bad, the horrible care our vets get. One of the many things I’m going to do is I’m going to straighten that mess out.”

Track, 26, was arrested on Monday, January 18, in Wasilla, Alaska, on multiple charges including assault. The U.S. Army veteran reportedly held an assault rifle during the incident and threatened to kill himself. He allegedly told officers, “Do you think I’m a p—y?” and “Do you think I won’t do it?”

Palin, who endorsed Trump for president on Tuesday, addressed the incident early Wednesday at an event in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “It’s a shame that our military personnel even have to question, have to wonder if they’re respected anymore,” the former Vice Presidential candidate said. “It starts from the top.”

Both Palin and Trump have been critical of the president on numerous occasions. However, earlier Wednesday, Trump had another target: the 2016 Oscars boycott. Asked about the ongoing Oscars controversy, the real estate mogul echoed Stacey Dash’s remarks from Wednesday morning.

“I saw somebody on your show today say, ‘Well, what do we do with BET?'” he told Fox & Friends‘ Steve Doocy. “The whites don’t get any nominations, and I thought it was an amazing interview, actually. I’ve never even thought of it from that standpoint.”
