London dweller Lindsay Lohan is just like Us — at least according to her mom, Dina Lohan. Us Weekly Video caught up with Dina recently, and she dished all about her daughter’s “normal life” across the pond.
“She can have a life, you know. She can go jogging around Hyde Park and not have 20 cameras following her,” Dina, 53, tells Us about Lindsay’s fresh start in the U.K. “She can be normal and live a normal life.”
Although Dina wishes Lindsay lived closer to home in New York City, the mother of four says she and her famous firstborn communicate often despite the distance.
“I talk to my kids every day,” the Long Island native declares “Three of them are in New York. Lindsay, I got her to move to New York and then she opted for London … for the play. And she loved it and she stayed.”
Since moving overseas several years ago, the Mean Girls actress, 29, has revived her acting career beginning with a role in David Mamet‘s production of Speed-the-Plow in 2014 on London’s West End — Britain’s equivalent of Broadway.
“Right now she really wants to do another stage [show]. She wants to get on stage and she’s starting her own production company,” Dina reveals of Lindsay’s current aspirations. “And she’d be a great director. She knows how it works.”
But what about a return to the silver screen? “People are like, ‘Do you think Lindsay will ever do a movie again?’ like she’s like a hundred,” Dina jokes “I’m like, ‘She’s 30!’ That’s up to her. Whatever she wants.”
Not only is LiLo’s star beginning to rise again, her love life is looking up as well. When asked about Lindsay’s new 22-year-old boyfriend, Egor Tarabasov, Dina couldn’t help but rave about the Russian business heir.
“Yes, he is cute. He’s a sweetheart. No, he’s just a really good person. And the tabloids are like, ‘Oh, he’s so much younger.’ But he’s very mature, very worldly,” she gushes. “They love each other.”
