Oops! Real Housewives of Atlanta alumna Claudia Jordan has backtracked on her recent comments that seemed to confirm that her friend Jamie Foxx is dating Katie Holmes. Check out the video above to hear what she originally said.
“I have no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all,” the reality star and radio personality, 43, told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, June 22. “I’ve never seen them together. He’s never told me he’s dating her.”
Jordan said that she “misspoke” about Foxx’s hush-hush romance with the Dawson’s Creek alumna, 37, and apologized for doing so.
“A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities — some I know, some I don’t — and we just give a safe kind of generic answer,” she continued. “Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them.”
As previously reported, the Next 15 star appeared on the Monday, June 20, edition of the podcast “Allegedly With Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss,” in which she insisted that she never had a thing with Foxx, 48, but alluded to her once-rumored love interest as currently courting Holmes.
“He is very happy with her,” Jordan said on the podcast. “I like that he seems very happy.”
Us Weekly exclusively revealed back in 2015 that the “Blame It” singer and the Touched With Fire actress had been secretly dating since October 2013.
Last September, Holmes made a huge effort to keep her relationship with Foxx under wraps by disguising herself for a secret meeting with Foxx. A source told Us that Holmes, who has a daughter, Suri, 10, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, “put on a wig and hat to meet him at a hotel” in Los Angeles.
“She said she loved him,” an insider told Us after the notoriously private couple were photographed holding hands in a recording studio back in March 2015. “She always gushes about how amazing he is and the joy he brings into the world.”
