Hundreds of fans, friends and family members gathered for a candlelight vigil for Christina Grimmie in Evesham Township, New Jersey, on Monday, June 13. Among those who attended the vigil, held at Evesham’s memorial complex, was Christina’s brother, Marcus.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, gunman Kevin Loibl shot and killed the 22-year-old singer while she was signing autographs after a concert at Plaza Live theater in Orlando on Friday, June 10. After Loibl shot her, Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, tackled him, and Loibl then shot and killed himself.
According to the Courier-Post, those in attendance at the vigil on Monday night gathered in a circle around photos of Christina.
“It doesn’t seem real,” Christina’s close family friend Hope Compton told the news outlet. “But we’ll see her again in heaven.”
Fans who attended the vigil also shared photos and remembrances of the former YouTube star on social media.
