It’s been Star Wars mania lately with the latest installment, The Force Awakens, hitting theaters nationwide on Friday, December 18. But through the slew of interviews and red carpet events, one face (or should we say tongue) has stood out from the rest of the crowd.
Gary Fisher, Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher’s adorable French bulldog, has been making the rounds with his famous mom as she promotes the highly anticipated J.J Abrams–directed film.
Gary and his ever-present tongue have caused quite the stir on social media, inspiring several Twitter accounts and even his own Instagram, which has thousands of followers.

His proud owner, 59, also shares regular shots of him on her own Twitter account, posing with Star Wars figurines of Yoda and Jabba the Hutt. The adorable pup even recently got a smooch from franchise newcomer Oscar Isaac in a Twitter pic with the caption: “I cant believe we're gonna check in2hotel/spend a few hrs pressing&im pressing whatever luck we can muster& then…”

On December 3, he accompanied his mom to the set of Live With Kelly and Michael, where he proceeded to accidentally poop.
“He can poop on our floor anytime!” cohost Kelly Ripa said. “Seriously, I didn’t mind it at all.”

So why does his tongue stick out? Princess Leia herself explained on Kelly and Michael what causes her pup’s funny expression.
“He does have a very long tongue,” she admitted. “It’s not his fault. It’s one and a half times too big.”
