Marital bliss. Cameron Diaz gushed over her husband, Benji Madden, in a sweet post to Instagram on Friday, July 15, declaring her love for the Good Charlotte rocker and noting how “proud” he makes her.
“One of my favorite things about being married, is how much pride I take in my husband @benjaminmadden… ,” she captioned a black-and-white clip of Madden, 37, performing onstage. “He makes me proud every day. … One day it might be how generous and giving, another how gentle and thoughtful. Or when he is fiercely protective of the people he loves and cares about. … And everyday single day I am so incredibly proud of his integrity as a human being.”
The 43-year-old actress added that she’s particularly proud of Madden because he and Good Charlotte just released their first album in six years, and according to Diaz, “it is so damn GOOOOOOOOOD.”
“Its so full of love and hope and truth … about forging and holding onto love. … I wish that everyone could write music to express their pain.. their fears… their hopes and dreams,” the Other Woman actress wrote. “Baby you amaze me … CONGRATS!!”
As Us Weekly previously reported, Diaz and Madden, who tied the knot in January, are eager to start a family together, so much so that the actress is taking a hiatus from moviemaking to “be a wife and try to have a baby.”
“All she wants is to stay home and enjoy this special time in her life,” a source told Us, adding that Diaz “has told her team she won’t answer the phone for any amount of money — even though she has received offers for various things. She is adamant that she is not available for anything.”
Diaz most recently starred in 2014’s Sex Tape with Jason Segel and Annie that same year.
