He beat her to it! Calvin Harris has reportedly written a breakup song about Taylor Swift — and the gloves are off. According to TMZ, Harris alleges that the pop star cheated on him with her current boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston.
The song is allegedly called “Ole” and is even written from Hiddleston’s point of view. “I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend …” one lyric says, according to TMZ. “You’ve hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you’ve been going through hell. Left him alone and you booked in a hotel.”
Even more, the Scottish DJ, 32, apparently takes a dig at Hiddleston’s famous Marvel role of Loki. “Low-key you won’t tell none of your friends about me,” he sings in another lyric, possibly doing a play on words. The British actor, 35, first appeared as the villain in 2011’s Thor.
Singer John Newman has been collaborating with Harris, and announced on Thursday that his new song “Ole” would drop later this week. (A Swift source countered to TMZ that Harris wrote the song before their breakup.)
As previously reported, it was confirmed last month that Harris and Swift, 26, had split after nearly 15 months of dating. On June 15, the British newspaper The Sun published photos of Swift and Hiddleston kissing near her Rhode Island abode. (The pair first hit it off during a dance-off at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in NYC on May 2.) Since then, they’ve traveled together to Nashville, L.A., London and Rome.
Hiddleston has already met some of her friends, too. Over the weekend, they returned to her Rhode Island home to celebrate the Fourth of July with fellow celebs such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Orange Is the New Black stars Ruby Rose and Uzo Aduba. Last year, Harris attended Swift’s annual festivities.
Swift has yet to comment on her breakup from Harris. But as Swifties very well know, the “Bad Blood” singer is famous for writing songs about her past boyfriends and heartache. Some of her more notable tracks about exes include “All Too Well” (Jake Gyllenhaal), “Dear John” (John Mayer), “Back to December” (Taylor Lautner) and “Style,” which she wrote about former One Direction rocker Harry Styles.
