Is Calvin Harris taking sides? The Scottish DJ shared a Snapchat video of himself rapping along to a Kanye West song on Saturday, July 23, amid the rapper’s “Famous” drama with Harris’ ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.
In the clip, the 32-year-old EDM producer appears to be in good spirits as he lip-synchs to ScHoolboy Q and West’s recent collaboration, “THat Part,” while waving a frying pan in the air.
“Wifey gonna kill me, she the female O.J.,” West, 39, raps on the hip-hop tune in a nod to O.J. Simpson, who was close friends with Kim Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian (the lawyer was also part of Simpson’s defense team in his 1995 murder trial). “Y’all don’t feel me, man, this ain’t OK.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, Kim, 35, released clips on July 17 of West on the phone with Swift, 26, chatting about the controversial lyrics in his hit “Famous,” seemingly proving that the “Bad Blood” songstress was, in fact, informed about the NSFW lines about her ahead of time.
After the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star leaked the call, Swift took to Instagram to hit back, writing: “Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
Last week, Harris slammed Swift for trying to make him “look bad” after it was revealed that she helped write his summer jam “This Is What You Came For.” He also dragged the singer’s new boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston, into the drama.
“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” the DJ wrote via Twitter July 13.
As fans know, Swift quickly moved on to Hiddleston, 35, shortly after news broke of her June 1 split with Harris. Since then, the new couple have jet-setted across the globe, traveling everywhere from England to Rome and Australia.
