She found the strength. Brandi Glanville is opening up about her battle with depression following her 2010 divorce from Eddie Cibrian in a new sneak peek from the Tuesday, June 21, episode of Famously Single.
In the emotional preview, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, meets with Dr. Darcy Sterling to discuss her ex-husband’s affair 2009 with LeAnn Rimes.
“I trusted him completely and fully,” Glanville explains. “Then I went to visit him on a movie set and for the first time, I felt like something was going on with the person that he was acting with. He told me I was crazy. That morning, I get a call from a bitchy mom that I’m not really friends with and she’s like, ‘Have you seen the cover of Us Weekly?’”
In 2009, Cibrian, 43, and Rimes, 33, starred in the Lifetime movie Northern Lights together. He filed for divorce from the Bravo star shortly after filming. The actor and the country singer, who was married to Dean Sheremet at the time of the affair, later tied the knot in April 2011.
In the Famously Single clip, Glanville continues, “I go to the store, get the magazine — panic attack, crying. It was on Access Hollywood, Extra. It’s on every cover of every magazine. It’s there. It’s real. I lay on my closet floor and just sobbed.”
The reality star, who shares sons Mason, 13, and Jake, 9, with her ex, then explains that she forced herself to keep going for the sake of her children.
“It wasn’t about me,” she says. “You buck on, so I did. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I had a couple years of depression. I started drinking too much. I had to up my antidepressants. I cried all day every day. I lost too much weight, but I had to take care of two kids and it wasn’t about me anymore. I knew it had to be done.”
Famously Single airs on E! Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
