As a couple, Brangelina banked more than half a billion dollars.
Forbes magazine estimates Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie raked in a combined $555 million between 2004, the year they fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and 2016, when Jolie, 41, filed for divorce. Of that staggering amount, the publication estimates, Pitt, 52, who starred in hits such as 2013’s World War Z, earned $315.5 million pretax. In the same time frame, Jolie, the star of blockbusters including 2008’s Kung Fu Panda and 2014’s Maleficent, made $239.5 million, also pretax.
Included in the $555 million is an estimated $117.5 million that the couple earned since they wed in 2014 at Chateau Miraval, their sprawling estate in the South of France, according to the publication. It is not known if Jolie and Pitt had a prenuptial agreement.
As is well known by now, Jolie filed for divorce from her husband of two years September 19, citing irreconcilable differences. The actress and humanitarian aid worker did not ask for spousal support, but she did request sole physical custody of the six children she shares with Pitt: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
In the court papers, she also requested “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects” as well as “earnings and accumulations” that she made “from and after the date of separation.” She named that date as September 15.
Jolie’s attorney, Robert Offer, told Us in a statement that the Oscar winner filed for the dissolution of their marriage “for the health of the family.”
