Celebrating the future Mr. and Mrs. Higgins! Ben Higgins and his fiancée, Lauren Bushnell, finally went on their first public date since the Denver native got down on bended knee during the season 20 Bachelor finale.
Higgins, 26, and Bushnell, 25, ended their busy promotional tour in NYC by cozying up for some French cuisine at Landmarc restaurant.
“FIRST DATE many more to come,” the flight attendant captioned an Instagram photo of the couple’s hands next to their glasses of wine. Bushnell also showed off her gorgeous $100,000 Neil Lane engagement ring.
The pair posed with chef Marc Murphy too. “First date success!” Higgins wrote via Instagram. “Even got a surprise meeting from the man himself @chefmarcmurphy!”
Higgins and Bushnell — who adorably consider the other “their person” — have been vocal about wanting more normalcy in their lives now that their stint on the ABC franchise is over. Bushnell, who donned a maroon Nightcap Clothing dress during a recent interview, will soon move to Denver to live with Higgins, and they don’t plan to be engaged for long.
“Hopefully soon, like, very soon. When I say soon, I would love to say early 2017, [late] 2016,” Higgins told Extra on Wednesday of their wedding plans. When asked about a possible TV wedding, he added: “We’re open to it. I think it’d be fun.”
