That was strange. Ariana Grande had a little problem with her jacket while singing her new song “Dangerous Woman” on Saturday Night Live on March 12.
The singer, who was hosting the NBC show as well as performing as the musical guest, appeared to suffer a wardrobe malfunction as soon as she began singing the first single off her new album of the same name.
Grande, 22, started the number with a black jacket slung loosely around her shoulders, before dropping her arm and letting it slide off to one side. That left the jacket hanging awkwardly off her right arm before she tried to slip the black topper back on, only to let it slip down again.
The coat situation was confusing to several people on Twitter.
“Did no one teach Ariana Grande how to wear a jacket?” asked one person, while another commented, “What’s with the –half on– jacket @ArianaGrande put it on or TAKE IT OFF.”
“Is this a thing?” asked someone else.
But her flawless vocals more than made up for the weirdness.
“Mad respect for Ariana Grande right now. She is killing it wearing one sleeve of her jacket most of her performance,” another tweeter wrote.
