Adrienne Bailon would love to be on The View and represent single 30 year olds and Latinos.

Sherri Shepherd wants Adrienne Bailon to join The View — and she's on board! On Apr. 25, Shepherd told Us Weekly that the 29-year-old singer and actress is her top pick to replace Joy Behar on The View. Us caught up with Bailon on Apr. 30 at the Gig-It launch event in NYC, and asked her what she thought of Shepherd nominating her as a potential new co-host.

"I've never met Sherri and I'm a huge fan of her. For somebody to show so much love, and not have a personal interest, was overwhelming," Bailon told Us. "She was like, 'I'm a genuine real fan of hers.' I don't know her like that, so for me that was the biggest compliment ever. I was so shocked, like I didn't put her up to this! I'm a huge fan of The View and I've always wanted to go into the talk show world because most people say I can't shut up . . . I would absolutely do it."

Behar recently announced her plans to leave The View after 16 years on the show, and talks of who should replace her have already begun. "I want everyone to stay, but Joy's been there for a while and she's ready to go, so I'm supportive and I'll miss her," Shepherd, 46, told Us last week. "But what do I want? A young Latina voice is very underrepresented, so I would love to see a young Latina sitting at the table. Adrienne Bailon would be so great."

"I really agreed with what she had to say . . . I think it's a little sad that in 2013 you look at daytime television and there isn't one face that represents a Latina," Bailon, who's mother is Puerto Rican and father is Ecuadorian, told Us. "I think that's insane."

And the former Cheetah Girls star said she has a lot to bring to the table.

"I would be excited to be the youngest person there. I'm not married and I'm a Latina turning 30 this year who hasn't had kids!" she said. "For women everywhere, turning 30 is a big deal. It's like everyone is saying, 'You're turning thirty, why haven't you had kids?' — especially in the Latina community. I tell people I kind of put my career first, and I think a lot of women in my generation are dealing with that," Bailon explained. "'Do you get married? Do you have children?' I get scared and ask myself, will I have children? At some point I may want to do it naturally, but what if by 40 [that's] something I can't do naturally? These are real issues facing my generation of women."

Bailon may not be married, but she is dating! "I'm very, very happy," she told Us of her new relationship, though she is keeping his name a secret.

"I love that he's not famous. I love that we're very private because that's different from my past experiences," Rob Kardashian's ex-girlfriend explained. "I really like that we're normal and we do normal things. We like White Castle on a Saturday night. We have a very normal relationship and I love that."

"This guy is different," Bailon said, comparing him to Kardashian. "And I like it."
