Baby on board! Mackenzie Standifer is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Ryan Edwards.
Standifer, 21, announced the news on Monday, March 26, in a teaser for next week’s episode of Teen Mom OG. The brief clips shows her showing a positive pregnancy test to producer Jeni, who starts jumping up and down and exclaims, “Yay!”
This will be the couple’s first child together, but they both have children from previous relationships. Edwards, 30, shares 9-year-old son Bentley with his ex Maci Bookout, while Standifer shares 4-year-old son Hudson with her ex-husband, Zachary Stephens. (Bookout, 26, is also the mother of daughter Jayde, 2, and son Maverick, 21 months, with her husband, Taylor McKinney.)
Standifer and Edwards secretly eloped in May 2017 before he headed to rehab for drug abuse. They later celebrated with a traditional church ceremony in November.
The pair have spoken candidly on the MTV reality series about trying to expand their family. “I’m ready when you’re ready,” Edwards told Standifer in a recent episode. “I think now is as good a time as ever.”
Since finishing his 21-day stint in rehab, Edwards has been focusing on his health and his family. “Ryan’s doing great now,” his costar Amber Portwood told Us Weekly exclusively in June 2017. “He has a lot of support.”
